About

Maddie Hampton is a writer and critic. She is interested in artistic practices that join distinct aesthetic forms to expand narrative structures across both genre and medium. Framing story as method, her current work examines the productive ambiguity inherent to these elaborated narrative forms. She holds a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Art: Critical and Curatorial Studies from Columbia University, and was a ‘22-’23 Critical Studies Fellow at the Whitney ISP under the direction of Ron Clark. She is currently based in Brooklyn.
